Updating Parent's Email Addresses

This guide will advise how you can update the parent's email address if necessary.

We have different logic depending on the status of the parent account:

SIMS

If the parent has activated their account, by clicking on the "Create parent account" button and completed this process, the parent will need to login using their old email address and then change their email address on the Profile and settings page. 


If the parent has been imported via CSV, the email address will be editable on Admissions+. 

If the parent has come across from SIMS in the preload, their email address will have these brackets around then [ ]. If they have these brackets around them, it means that they have not yet activated their account. For these parents you can change the email address in SIMS and this will update in A+ overnight, with the Daily Sync. 

 

iSAMS, Arbor & Bromcom

If the parent has activated their account, by clicking on the "Create parent account" button and completed this process, the parent will need to login using their old email address and then change their email address on the Profile and settings page. 


If the parent has been imported via CSV, the email address will be editable on Admissions+.
