How to reset password for Parent and Student
This article is for when a parent/student needs to have their password reset so they can log in to the system
If users experience any issue with their password or login, it is recommended that they first attempt to reset their password directly from the landing page. This page also provides access to a troubleshooting guide to assist them further.
When resetting their password, users will be prompted to verify their email address. Upon verification, they will receive instructions on how to change and create their new password.
If necessary, the following instructions outline the steps to reset a user's password on their behalf.
Note: When you reset the password on behalf of the user, you will need to provide a temporary password. The user will be required to change this temporary password upon their next successful login.
For parent accounts
First, if it's a parent account you may go to the parents and enquiries icon which is the first icon from the A+ logo when you're on the home page - choose parents and it'll provide a table of the list of parents you have on that form.
You may then tick on the box of the parent you wish to change the password and a list of actions will show; you'll be able to change the password from there.
For student accounts
If it's a student you may also find the student via the registered students table, or use the 2nd way which is to search for the student profile in the search bar beside the Knowledge Base Icon.
Once the student is found click on their name and you'll then be routed to their profile which has a list of actions under the more button, including reset password.
