Duplicate Agencies

This article will show you how to use the duplicate agencies feature to merge duplicated medical practices

We now have the 'Duplicate Agencies' feature available in Admissions+. You can access it by navigating to Manage Users > Duplicate Agencies. This tool is designed to help identify and merge duplicate agency entries that share the same name and postcode.

You will find the  Keep or Ignore column on the right of each table.

Select Keep for the version of an agency you wish to keep in the merge.  After that, you can now click on the Merge button.

Ignore means to remove them from consideration within the merge - for example if you want to keep more than one of the agencies within a list, you would select to ignore it.

For example, if you have 3 agencies listed (as below), you could select to keep number 3, ignore number 2 and leave number 1 with no selection. Item 3 would be merged with item 1, and item 2 would also remain.

Click OK from pop up to confirm action.

The Dismiss button is used if you do not want to merge agencies. This means all of the  suggested duplicates from the list will disappear.

Please note, there are instances where duplicate agencies might not be automatically detected, such as when there are slight typographical errors in the agency name or when two agencies share the same name but have different postcodes.

This is when the Manual Merge button on the right-hand side will come in handy. It allows for the manual merging of agencies by selecting them directly, regardless of any name or postcode discrepancies.

When you click on Manual Merge, a list will be available for you to select duplicated agencies, and then click Merge.

Once you click on the Merge button at the top, a pop-up will appear for you to select an agency to keep, and then click the Merge button again at the bottom of the table this time.

Click OK from pop up to confirm action.

Under Duplicate Agencies, there is another tab called Agencies Merge Histories where you can check your recently merged agencies.
