Common uses of the Enrolment Test System
You can use your Enrolment Test System for checking and honing your settings, without it impacting your live system.
The Test System is a clone of your live system, containing the data for your applicants and the same settings as you currently have in place.
Importantly, the email functionality is disabled on your test system, to give you peace of mind that no correspondence will be sent to any of your applicants whilst you are trying things out.
Here are some key uses of the test system, and things we recommend trying:
- Check your enrolment settings (settings > enrolment settings) and test out what each of the settings does. See what impact each setting has, and decide what configuration works best for you.
- Practice enrolling some students - this has NO IMPACT on their status in your live system!
- Check your specific requirements are working as expected. As part of enrolling some students, check that you can only enrol them if they meet your criteria. If you're able to enrol them and you don't think you should be, you need to check your requirements are set up correctly.
- Configure your enrolment form (settings > application form). Which steps do you need turned on/off? Are there extra questions you need the students to answer at the point of enrolling?
- Check your colour-coding and red flags are set up correctly. Based on your specific requirements, should certain students be flagged? Are the correct students appearing in red, amber and green? Change the achieved grades of a student to make sure they do or don't meet your criteria and then check the colour coding and flagging is reflecting this correctly.
