Should I import my ATF into MIS first?
This article will explain why you should not import your ATF files into your MIS first.
Information/offers received from your Local Authority should not be imported directly into your school MIS System (e.g., SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom, Cloud School). This is to avoid having issues in the future when exporting students from A+ to your MIS.
Common issues that can happen when you import the data first to your MIS are the following:
- Duplication of accounts
- Data being Overwritten
There is the possiblity of information being stored incorrectly by importing into your MIS first; this is why it is very important that you import the information first via Admissions+, to ensure that the most current data is used.
We have several checking steps in place to avoid these situations but the only risk-free process is to not import to your MIS.
Once the parents or the student have submitted the forms, you can transfer the data from Admissions+ to your school’s MIS System.
If you have already imported your students into your MIS, please call 0208 762 0882 so we can help you take some precautionary steps.
