Exporting Tutor Group allocations from the Sorting Hat into Bromcom
This guide will tell you how you can export your Tutor Groups from the Sorting Hat into Bromcom
Once you're happy with the tutor group allocations in the Sorting Hat, here’s how you can export them into Bromcom:
At the top of the screen where you see the tutor group allocations, click the button labelled: “Transfer to MIS”.
You will be presented with a screen where you can then ‘map’ the tutor groups in Bromcom with the tutor groups in the Sorting Hat.
Normally you will want the “start date” and “end date” of a student’s membership in a tutor group to match the dates already set in the tutor group. If so, leave the ‘start date’ and ‘end date’ fields blank here.
If however you want to use a different set of dates, you have the option of filling in these fields and A+ will insert a different set of dates when adding the students from the Sorting Hat into Bromcom.
On the next screen, you will see a ‘confirmation screen’ allowing you to double-check that the groups you selected in A+ will correctly ‘map’ onto the groups you intended in Bromcom. Note that at this point, the names of the students it is about to export are shown in the column on the right, to allow you to see more clearly what is about to be exported. When you are happy with this, click ‘next’.
Finally, you will see a report which will summarise what has happened during the export process. If there are any errors or issues, they will appear here in red text.
Please contact our Support Team if you need further help with any of these on 0208 762 0882.
