Map View
The Map View allows you to visualise the geographic distribution of your applicants relative to your school's location.
Setting Up Your School Location
When you first access the Map View, you'll be asked to plant a flag showing where your school is located. This becomes the reference point for all distance calculations.

Viewing Applicants on the Map
The map displays:
- Geographic location of each applicant based on their address
- Health score indicators for each applicant
- Relative distance from your school
Filtering the Map
Apply filters to focus your view:
- Year Group Filter - See only applicants from specific year groups
- Distance Filter - Show only applicants within a certain radius (e.g., within 10 miles)
- Status Filters - Filter by application status
- Filters update the map view in real-time

Defining Your Catchment Area
Access catchment area settings via the settings icon on the map:
Circular Catchment
- Set a radius (e.g., 10 miles) around your school
- Visualises how many applicants fall within your primary catchment
- Displays as a circle on the map


Custom Polygon Catchment
- Draw a custom shape if your catchment area is not circular
- Accounts for geographic features, transport links, or competition
- Provides more accurate catchment analysis
To create a custom catchment area:
- Click on the shape icon in the top right of the map area
- Click on the map to drop your first point
- Move your cursor and click again to drop another point
- Continue clicking to create additional points that form the shape of your catchment area
- Once complete, press "Enter" on your keyboard to save the shape
To edit or delete your catchment area:
- Once the shape has been created, you can:
- Move it: Click on the shape and drag it to a new location, then click "Save" to confirm the new position
- Delete it: Click on the shape (it will turn orange when selected), then click the trash icon in the top right of the map to remove it and start again

Interactive Features
Dynamic Zoom and Pan
- As you adjust the map view, the system automatically refreshes
- Shows applicants within the visible area
- Click on any applicant marker to view their details
Applicant Profiles
- Click on the left-hand side list to open an applicant's profile
- Quick access to detailed information
Invalid Addresses
- Section showing students without valid addresses
- Click the edit icon to correct addresses
- Use the postcode lookup service to find and update correct addresses
- Once corrected, applicants appear on the map
