Uploading and Linking Files to the Parent/Student Homepage in Your B+ System

Sometimes, you may need to share documents with applicants without requiring access to their bursary application form. Use the Uploaded Files Area to upload documents and display them on student/parent homepages.

Uploading Files

Go to Data > Uploaded Files.

Click the Upload File button and upload the file(s) you wish to link to the Parent Homepage or Student Homepage of your system.

Enter a name for your file, then click "Choose File" to upload it.

Select No for the question asking if the file contains sensitive personal information. This will provide options for sharing the file/document.

Depending on your intake, you can make it visible to parents, students, or both. You can also display it on their homepages by accessing the Advanced Settings option.

Here, you can check the box to make the file editable and deletable, and specify who can make those changes.

 

Once you have uploaded the files, decide how applicants will access them.

Each uploaded file will generate a unique URL. You can:

  • Copy the URL and paste it as a link into a welcome message, or
  • Display it in the documents area of the relevant homepage (student or parent).

 

Pasting the URL into a Welcome Message

Navigate to Settings > Form Settings, then select Parent Homepage to access the appropriate page 

  1. Click to edit the welcome message where you want to add the link.
  2. Type your desired text and use the "link" icon to paste the copied URL.
  3. Save your changes.

The message and link will be visible when the parent or student logs into their homepage.

 

Displaying Uploaded Files in the Documents Area

Ensure "Show documents on homepage" is toggled on to allow applicants to access the uploaded document(s) upon logging in.

A "Documents" button will appear on the Parent homepage.

When they log in, they can view and download all available documents without accessing the Application/Admission Form itself.
