How to Impersonate an Applicant's Account and When to Use It

This article explains how to impersonate an account in your bursary system and the reasons for doing so.

You may need to impersonate an account for several reasons.

One common reason is when an applicant is experiencing issues completing their form, needs changes made to their application, or encounters a technical problem—such as being unable to progress to the next step or finding a question with no applicable dropdown options.

The Impersonate button allows you to access the applicant’s account and make changes on their behalf.

To impersonate an account, go to the applicant's profile and locate the Impersonate button in the Actions section.

The next page will display the student homepage from the applicant’s perspective. Click the pencil icon on the Bursary Form, then click "Continue Application" to access and edit their form.

Be sure to save any changes, and once you're done impersonating the student, click Back to Admin to return to the main platform.
