Submitting an application for a child via a Parent/Carer account

This article will walk you through how to submit an application to a school or college on behalf of your child.

Log in your account and go to either the “School & Colleges” or “Courses” tabs to start browsing opportunities. Make sure you have selected the child you are applying for from the “Select a child to apply for” drop down list:

  • Qualification type
  • Subject area
  • Postcode
  • Distance
  • Courses your child is eligible for
  • Courses with Quick Apply (schools and colleges in the Applicaa network, meaning you can use the same application form for every submission)

In the search results, you will be able to shortlist any courses that you’re interested in by using the star icon:

To come back to your short-listed options later, go to your child’s profile and click on the “Short-list” tab:

As long as you have added your child’s grades to their profile, on each school or college profile page you will be able to see if your child is eligible for the courses they are interested in applying for:

On some profile pages you will notice a “Quick Apply” button - this means that the school or college is part of the Applicaa network and you will be able to use the same application form every time you apply. On other school profiles there will be a “Start Application” button.

With either option, you will see the following message:

If you haven’t yet started an application with the school, on the next step you will need to complete the school’s registration questions before you begin the application form. If you have already started an application, just log in to your account using your existing details.
