Students are able to share constructive insights about their own experiences at their schools. This depends on a foundation of openness and integrity and these guidelines exist to keep our platform trustworthy and useful for everyone.
Who can review?
To keep reviews credible and relevant, only legitimate students and recent alumni can share their experiences.
- Current Students: Enrolled within the last 24 months
- Recent Alumni: Graduated within the last 3 years
These must have:
- Verified email address
- Self confirmation of school attendance
How to share responsibly
Do:
- Be specific: "The maths clinic sessions helped me improve from grade from a C to B.”
-
Share solutions: "When I struggled with deadlines, the my tutor helped me create a study schedule."
-
Balance perspectives: Trying to include both positives and areas for improvement
- Focus on experiences: Write about interactions that stand out and the outcome
- Be respectful: Judge experiences, not people.
Don't:
- Personally attack: Never target individuals by name or description
-
Respond Emotionally: Take time to reflect, don’t post in the heat of the moment
- Be offensive: No hate speech, discrimination, or threats
- Spread misinformation: Don't exaggerate or fabricate experiences
-
Share private information: About yourself or others - this includes:
- Full names of students or staff
- Phone, email, address
- Social media handles or usernames
- Student ID numbers or grades
- Financial information
- Sensitive information
Writing quality standards
Use the CLEAR framework to structure your review so it’s helpful, balanced, and easy to follow:
C - Context: When you attended and what subjects you studied
L - Learning outcomes: What you achieved and grades gained
E - Experiences: Specific interactions with staff, support services and facilities
A - Areas for growth: Constructive suggestions for improvement
R - Recommendation: Your overall assessment
Share your experiences in a professional, constructive, and empathetic way, offering helpful insights and solutions, for example:
❌ "This teacher is terrible at teaching."
✅ "I found the lecture style challenging to follow and would have benefited from more interactive examples."
❌ "The food is bad."
✅ "The dining hall has limited healthy options, especially for students with dietary restrictions."
❌ "Everyone hates this class."
✅ "Many students in my year found the workload challenging to balance with other courses."
